Chippendale Secretary



Colchester, Connecticut, ca. 1770-1785. Cherry, eastern white pine secondary In a desirable diminutive size, this two part secretary has a wonderful carved broken arch pediment with dentil molding and carved rosettes above flat panel doors opening to divided compartments. The lower desk portion has a slant-top lid opening to a fitted interior with valences above drawers with four long graduated drawers supported by bracket feet with a central carved fan drop pendant.
