Pine in untouched, dry original condition. Six fireboards by the same hand are known: three from the Babcock Collection, used on a Long Island estate called Harkaway. Another by this hand was published in "Architectural Digest," Dec. 1991, page 145. Ex. David Schorsch and/or Courcier-Wilkins (nearly identical fireboards). Another board by the same hand is ex.
