Small Slip-Marbled Pearlware Barrel form Jug

The rim having a band of green-glazed rouletting within two black slip bands, over a body with fabulous overall slip-marbled surface in an unusual and very pleasing color palette and patterning.

Pieces with the unusual pierced spout dam seen here are thought to have originally had lids.  Otherwise excellent condition.

Provenance:  A Main Line, Pennsylvania collection.
