LIVERPOOL CREAMWARE JUG MADE FOR THE AMERICAN MARKET CIRCA 1799

Another example of a creamware jug made in Liverpool, England specifically for export to America. The transfers are as patriotic as possible including an eagle with shield, an "E Pluribus Unum" banner, a ship with American flag and a monument to George Washington surrounded by the names of the 13 original colonies (note the spelling of Kentucky). Since Washington died in 1799 we can date this jug to that time.
The pitcher is in excellent original condition with a few minor surface imperfections. The transfers are bright and crisp and look particularly strong against the cream colored background.
