HEPPLEWHITE MAHOGANY WING CHAIR MADE IN EASTERN MASSACHUSETTS CIRCA 1790-1800

This ia an attractive Hepplewhite mahogany wing chair with rolled arms, shaped wings and a serpentine shaped front rail.  The legs are both moulded and tapered and retain their full original height.  It is in totally original structural condition and has been newly reupholstered with a beautiful silk blend fabric.  Wing chairs from this earliest part of the Federal period are quite scarce and are considered very desirable.  It is also a very comfortable chair to sit in.
