Coverlet, point work weave containing red and green wool and white cotton. Coverlets of this type containing green wool are less common than the usual red, white and blue examples. It has a well matched center seam with applied side fringes and a self fringe at the bottom. It is from southeastern Pennsylvania and was probably woven during the mid 1800s. The condition is excellent and it measures 88 x 80 inches. Includes embroidered initials and number.
