Exceptionally fine and rare federal transitional carved and inlaid
mahogany swell front chest, with solid figured top with string and crotch
mahogany inlaid edge, above four cockbeaded drawers with string inlay, raised
on shaped bracket feet with crotch mahogany inlaid oval reserves.
Original condition, period hardware.Attributed to Langley Boardman,
Salem and Portsmouth, circa 1785-90.
