Sheraton Turned Leg Wing Chair

A fine Federal wing chair with a serpentine crest over vertically scrolled arms with cabriole cheeks; all over a square seat standing on turned and reeded legs ending in a ring turned foot.

A very similar chair appears as "Masterpiece" in Albert Sack, The New Fine Points of Furniture, Early American, page 76, lower entry.
