Beautiful all original condition cast iron fire engine, with original nickel plated removable figure, manufactured by Hubley in Lancaster Pennsylvania, circa 1930.
There is no touch-up or repaint and no repairs. The rubber tires with metal spoke wheels are also original and in excellent condition.. They have embossed on the rim "Hubley Mfg. Co." "Balloon 14 x 5 Cord".
There is nice, strong red paint with gold highlighting all around (see images).
As wheels rotate, a bell underneath the driver rings (albeit faintly).
Hard to upgrade this example.
Dimensions: 11 1/2" long x 3 1/2" wide x 6 1/2" high.
