Engraved and signed presentation lantern with hunting scene by George Franklin Lapham of the Boston and Sandwich Glass Co.

A presentation brass and glass engraved lantern to "W. B. Hayden" and made by the Boston and Sandwich Glass Factory.

It is finely engraved with a hunter and his dog resting under a tree with a covey of quail just on the other side of the tree to the right.  Under the wheat wreath is the engraved signature of G. F. Lapham for the maser engraver George Franklin Lapham who was born in 1836 and worked at the factory until it closed in 1888.


Formerly in the collection of William F. Graham, noted antique dealer of Haverhill, Massachusetts from the 1960's to 2,003.
