Northern Plains Parfleche Container



Northern Plains Indian, Crow tribe, rawhide parflech container.  This form was traditionally used as a storage vessel for clothing, food, and accoutrements.  Beautiful as-found condition with very strong pigment decoration; typical native ethgraphic wear, minor soiling, and edge losses as expected.
