GREAT EAGLE TRANSFER ON A LIVERPOOL JUG MADE FOR THE AMERICAN MARKET C. 1810

You would be hard pressed to find a more dramatic depiction of an eagle on a piece of nineteenth century creamware.  It is even more dramatic to put the eagle in black against that ultra white body of banner in the eaglesthe jug.  "E pluribus unum"  banner in the eagle's bill.  Note also the transfer on the other side is a ship flying the American flag.

There are 14 stars just above the eagle which may represent the 14th state Vermont which joined the union in 1791.
