The top of this handsome library table is composed of beautifully figured solid mahogany boards. The bold reeding on the upright standard and stretcher are identical to the reeding on the legs of a cylinder-front desk and bookcase attributed to Duncan Phyfe. One end of an apron conceals a deep drawer. The legs terminate in foliate-cast brass casters with two-tone gilt-lacquered finishes.
