Original large scale gelatin silver print of George Armstrong Custer, by Matthew Brady/ Handy. Negative date May, 1865; printing date of: 1907.  Studio mounted on heavy mat board with printed inscription "General George Armstrong Custer, Civil War General better known for his famous "Last Stand" at Little Big Horn.  Good condition, irregular boarder on mat board, staining and corner wear on mat board, minor print imperfections and a few emulsion irreglarities due to water droplets.  Size of image: 16 1/2 by 13 3/8 inches, mat size: 19 5/8 by 15 3/8 inches.  

In person this is a very impressive print.
