Native tanned hide American Indian dance kilt, Rio Grande Pueblo (Cochiti, Santa Domingo, or Jemez). Adorned with natural native pigments depicting a snake. In good condition, does show ethnographic wear and minor staining. Professional display mounted.
Provenance: Collected in the 1st Quarter of the 20th century by a female school teacher who taught at Cochiti.
