Early Northern Plains Indian, pre-reservation period, Lakota Sioux bead decorated knife sheath with trade knife. Good condition, as-found, showing ethnographic use wear and bead loss at expected areas (upper edge, lower tip, tin cone losses). Buffalo hide lined with native tanned covering decorated with glass trade beads. Circa 1870's.
