PAIR of Antique Serab Rugs, Northwest Persia, Circa 1910
Measuring approximately 3.2 x 5.2 and 3.2 x 5.4, respectively, this uncommon matched pair of camel field antique Serab rugs were woven in northwest Persia’s Azerbaijan province. Each contains a denim blue medallion and stylized flowers in the corner spandrels. The aubergine and light blue Reciprocal Trefoil design outer guard border is another strong feature.
