4.2 x 5.10 Fine Antique Senneh Rug, Herati Design, Northwest Persia, Kurdistan Province, Circa 1895

Acquired directly from an exceptional New York family collection, this antique Senneh rug was woven in the late 19th century in northwest Persia’s Kurdistan province. It is part of a group of antique Senneh rugs that feature sky blue field decorated with the classical Herati design and framed by a yellow border.

Many of the rugs in this collection were in storage for long periods of time, in some cases up to three or four decades, and this rug is in outstanding condition for the type.
