American, New England or New York, ca. 1800-1810.
Brass and iron.
Andirons and tools in great condition, customary wear. This pair of steeple-top and ball andirons with log stops and matching tools is attributed to Richard Wittingham, NY (1795-1808). The serpentine front wire-work fender with finials has a very appealing wire-work design.
