English Painted Small Creamware Pottery Jug,

Circa 1765-75

The cylindrical jug has a double reeded loop handle with leaf terminals.  Below the spout is a painted scene of two cows in a field, one standing, one lying down with a church steeple in the background. within an openwork scroll border with a rose and leaves to each side.  Below the spout is a chip to the tip and another small chip to the edge of the underside of the spout -neither visible from the top.
