White's Stoneware Cooler



Wonderful, unusual molded stoneware cooler, attributed to the White's Pottery, Utica, New York, c. 1890-1898. Complex design of "Rebecca at the well" on one side and a three-color portrait of a woman on reverse. Molded handles are winged animal-heads. Ht. 11 1/2"; Dia. 11" (w/o handles.) A molded water filter with the same handles, signed Utica is in the Munson Proctor Museum. Condition: Chips to rim and one handle, small hairlines.
