A canoe cup is a woodman's water dipper, also known as a belt cup because most include a toggle or clip for carrying it in a belt during portages. This well defined carved canoe cup is made from oak burl and decorated with a life-like relief carved and painted profile of a white-tailed buck along one half ofthe cup. The other outer half is incised with wavy grooves. It has a fringed rawhide strap and metal belt clip. Excellent plus condition.
