1800s Allegory Columbiana Goddess Gouache Painting

Winged head dress and neoclassical dress, sitting right at the turn of the nineteenth.

Strong features and proportions suggest a Columbiana figure in rich tonal grey scale.

Believed original to the frontier town founders home in Southwestern Pennsylvania and American.

With edge tears and chips to margins, measures 9.75 x 12.5". Surface scuffs are photographed. Tacked to a rag mat with minimal rice paper tape to ensure its safety.
