19thc Frontier Homesteader Infant's Fur Coat

Remarkably soft and supple, the pelt appears to have been adhered with the muslin lining while wet to hold its form.

Possibly rabbit or brown bear? Construction likely dates last quarter of the nineteenth century.

Shoulders measure only 6" from seam to seam and 18" long. Honest wear and dirt, no tears or damage.

Impossible little thing.
