This fine argand chandelier is presented in its original all-over patinated finish. A large canopy consists of cast foliage and floral elements. The bottom of the canopy has squared hooks, a central rosette, and a stamped brass collar with beads, flowers, and foliage. The chains composed of cast rings and links are secured to the body of the chandelier by detailed snake hooks attached to cast brackets. The font is designed in the shape of an ancient urn topped with a cast foliate crown and stamped brass garlands of fruit are draped between bearded Classical masks with horns. The substantial bronze body of the chandelier is adorned with three different masks under the three arms. A beautiful large cast finial centers the bottom of the pan and is composed of leaves and a budding flower.
