Early Boston Sampler by Sarah Thwing

An early sampler wrought by Sarah Thwing (1737-1753), daughter of John and Joanna Davis Thwing. Decorated with the alphabet, numbers, and the following rhyme: "Sarah Thwing is / my name and with / my needle wroug / ht the same and if / my skill it had been / better would / have mended every / letter November / the 9 1743".
