Queen Anne Flat Top Highboy



Connecticut River Valley, ca. 1770. Cherry, white pine secondary wood with desirable proportions and twin carved fans, the top case has two small drawers flanking a central carved fan drawer above four graduated drawers; the lower case is fitted with a waist molding above one long drawer with drawers flanking a central carved fan drawer above a carved shaped apron supported by cabriole legs ending on pad feet. Condition: One side molding is an early 19th c. replacement, pierced brass (19th c.) appears to be the second set, otherwise in fine condition.
