Sally Potter , American, oil on canvas of flowering trees in spring. 22" H x 30" W. Framed. Signed lower right. Potter is a little known painter who paited in northern New England, mostly in Massachusetts and Southern Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine. She was self taught although she attended summer painting schools taught by Thomas Curtain and Charles Curtis Allen in New Hampshire and Vermont. It is believed she was a teacher in the Massachusetts school system.
