A miniature antique QashQa’i bag face (a miniature bag is also called a Chanteh) with a star design. This piece retains the skirt at the top and part of the original chain stitch.
The QashQa’i are a confederation of tribal groups living in the Shiraz area in southwest Persia’s Fars province. QashQa’i weavings are renowned as the finest of all Persian tribal weavings.
This piece is suitable for display on a wall or piece of furniture and we could also make it into a pillow for you.
